The Australian IFBB pro bodybuilder Lee Andrew Priest McCutcheon is not unknown to the bodybuilding world. But to the unversed, Priest first won his first show at the age of 13 years and went on to become an IFBB Pro at the age of 20. He is known to the Mr. Olympia fans after being placed 6th in the 2002 competition.

Recently, ‘Blond Myth’ shared a picture on his Instagram channel that fascinated his 448K followers. The fans commented on the post where he could be seen posing with his bodybuilder mother on stage.

The ‘Round Trip’ actor posted a photograph from his early bodybuilding days where he and his mother were posing together on the stage. “Me 17 mum 38 this was her first show she wanted to do couples with me,” he wrote in the caption. He revealed the significance of the picture by writing, “We were the first mother and son to compete and win a title in the world”. As of matter of fact, Mr. Universe noted that his mother trained only for “8 months” prior to the competition.

Appreciating the 38-year-old, an enthusiast mentioned, “Your mom looked amazing for such a short period training!!” Admiring the inspiring photo, a commenter posted, “Incredible photo and moment.” Lee Priest, the 50-year-old, once revealed how his mother came to his rescue after a failed suicide attempt.

In an interview with Flex Lewis, the Former IFBB pro opened up about his weakest moments. At 19, Priest was stopped from competing in the Mr.Universe of 1990 after a failed drug test. When he tried to pursue the officials for another test, he was denied, which forced him into depression.

He opened up and mentioned, “In my head I’m like ‘F*k this, I’m gonna f**king cut my wrists.” But after two slits, he repented the decision and called upon his mother for help. His mother got him admitted into the hospital, and he received treatment for his cuts.

These incidents reflect the bond between the mother and son. Apart from encouraging his son with the bodybuilding dream, Priest’s mom also saved him from giving up on his life.
