Irrespective of challenges in the competitive arena, Robby Robinson never gave up on his gym sessions. Around five decades down the lane, he still trains with the same enthusiasm and perfection. The Black Prince of bodybuilding took to lifting weights at Beach’s Gold’s Gym in 1975 in Venice.

Recently, Robinson and Mike O’Hearn had an arm workout day together. O’Hearn shared a video of their training on his YouTube channel. During the session, the 77-year-old bodybuilder taught O’Hearn the secret of building big arms. O’Hearn, known for his role in American Gladiators, was impressed by the traditional bodybuilding techniques used by Robinson.

The Titan was searching for the Black Prince at the start of the video. “I’m looking around for Robbie and we’re doing arms today,” O’Hearn said before adding, “But he is warming up his biceps with pull-ups reverse.

During the workout session, Robinson was observed performing pull-ups from the bar using a closer grip. Following that, the 54-year-old bodybuilder also attempted the same exercise. The Black Prince elucidated the movement by providing an explanation, stating, “Each time you come back you’re contracting all those muscles.He further highlighted that this particular workout engages the biceps and is commonly performed by gymnasts. The Black Prince placed emphasis on the significance of this exercise by stating, Gymnasts those guys with the big arms, that’s where it comes from,” to which an enlightened O’Hearn commented, “Oh yeah.”

I’ve been doing that since I was a kid,” Robinson revealed his experience with the workout. He is of late doing them between two chairs. The Titan instantaneously quipped “Old school basement workouts pull-up bar,” It isn’t the first time Robinson and O’Hearn collaborated to work out together. Robinson has overcome many struggles to pursue his passion for bodybuilding.

At 77 years old, Robinson continues to maintain a shredded physique by consistently going to the gym, serving as an inspiration to the Titan. In his initial years of bodybuilding career, Robby Robinson was told, “Blacks don’t get contracts,” for competing, per Oprah Daily. He also has sickle cell anemia and suffered from steroid intake. But he never gave up on the sport.

Though he never owned a Mr.Olympia title, he ensured to become a 3x Mr. Olympia Masters thrice. And in the seventies, he coaches rookie bodybuilders to build an Olympia-winning physique.
