Still Friends With His Ex-Wife, Arnold Schwarzenegger Makes a Heartfelt Confession About Girlfriend Heather Milligan: “Our Relationship Is Fantastic”

Arnold Schwarzenegger has had a roller-coaster of life. He was not only a seven-time Olympia-winning bodybuilder but also an actor, a governor, and a husband. Just like the drama and ups and downs in his professional life, his personal life was also filled with some. Arnold was happily married to Maria Shriver and had four children. However, after his affair with his housemaid, he had a son named Joseph, and he kept the secret for ten years from his wife. This led to a filing for divorce in 2011. He respected his wife’s decision, but still, they both looked after their children.

However, later, he found a new companion in his girlfriend, Heather Milligan. After getting a divorce in 2021 from Maria, their roles as parents and grandparents to Kathrine’s children did not change. And a month ago, on the occasion of the launch of his new book, he spoke about his relationship with his ex-wife and his present girlfriend, Milligan.

Arnold Schwarzenegger compliments Milligan 

According to PEOPLE, Arnie met her in 2012 when he was going to get shoulder surgery just before the movie ‘Escape Plan’ with Sylvester Stallone. Coincidentally, Stallone was also getting shoulder surgery on the same day.

Arnie was told to go to Milligan by his surgeon because she was the best physical therapist, according to his physician. The physician even said, “Any football players or baseball players, any athlete, I always send them to her, because she’s the only one that really knows what they’re talking about.”

The bodybuilder added, “So I went to her, and then after my therapy was finished after I was finished with the movie, I called her back and took her out for lunch to say thank you. And then one thing led to the next.” The couple is very organic and has a wonderful relationship. They recently went to Oktoberfest in Munich and can also be seen riding bikes together around Santa Monica.

Schwarzenegger told People magazine that he loves Milligan’s entrepreneurial spirit. “We have so many things in common.” He also said, “Our relationship is fantastic. I think the world of her. I love that she’s into working. She’s clearly independent. She just is driven as hell.” The 76-year-old man who is dating the 48-year-old physical therapist has always appreciated the woman in his life and still has an amicable relationship with his ex-wife.

Women’s role in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life

The Austrian Oak met Kennedy Princess Maria Shriver at a charity tennis tournament in 1977. After years of dating, they finally tied the knot in 1986. The couple had four children but unfortunately separated in 2011, when Schwarzenegger’s affair became public. However, he still respects his wife, and both have looked after the children and now care for their grandchildren together as well.

In “A FINAL THANK-YOU” note at the end of his self-help book, “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life,” the bodybuilding legend confessed, “I’ve also been lucky to have the love of amazing women in my life.” While talking about Shriver, he said, “For decades, Maria stood by my side for every decision and, to this day, is such a fantastic mother to our children.”
