Hogan’s candid interview: Reflecting on his past, wrestling career, and life choices
Hogan appeared in a YouTube video called This Past Weekend hosted by Theo Von. The wrestling icon walks down memory lane, taking listeners through his yester years in Tampa. He spoke about events that led him to pursue wrestling, his career highs, leaving a rock band, and his overall achievements.
At one particular point in the interview, while talking about the movie ‘No Holds Barred’ released in 1989, the host asked Logan why he outlasted many of his friends. The wise wrestler asked, “You mean why am I still alive?” making the host startled by the question posed. Taking a deep look, the bodybuilder replied, ” I think honestly if we stayed up for three-four nights in a row partying I would still go work out right nobody else would. I would still go train. I would still eat good.”I was the trading person.”
Hogan revealed that he was concerned about his practices. He further added, “Vitamins, I was actually doing that you know, praying that I wouldn’t die yeah.” His honest take throws light on the tough situation many wrestlers deal with. Beyond fame and glory, there are many tough curves along the way. A few months ago, in a YouTube interview with Men’s Health, the towering figure revealed a shocking detail related to aging.

Hogan transformed his body to lower the pressure on his back
The 69-year-old athlete mentioned that he underwent more than ten surgeries due to aging and the management of injuries. His back surgeries took a toll on his nerves. As a result, he might have gotten paralyzed. However, this terrible incident did not happen as Hogan worked hard on his fitness. To increase his longevity and youthfulness, the reality star shed pounds.

He said, “I couldn’t carry that much weight. So I decided to drop weight and get down to about 265. And actually, the last time I weighed 265, I was in ninth grade. I feel great, you know, just without all the other extra stuff.” Hogan’s story is an apt reminder for the bodybuilding community to remain dedicated to health and fitness.
