

Novak Djokovic again praised his rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer further increasing the Greatest Of All Time debate(GOAT). The World No.1 was subtle about it and played down the GOAT debate.

The World No.1 does seem to look at the debate. It does affect the player and maybe all three of them want it.
“You do look at the macro picture as well as the micro picture. I think everyone is different obviously, I love the sport, I am passionate and devoted to it. As long as there is a flare in me I’ll keep going.” said Djokovic.

He praised his counterparts, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic rates them highly and admires them for all the tennis they have played. He said they inspire him and motivate him to be a better player and credits them for what he and tennis are today.

“What Roger and Rafa are doing is epic. Both of these guys are legends. They made me the player I am today. They still continue to inspire me and motivate me to be even better.” said World No.1.
Many players don’t thrive on such serious rivalries. But the Serb has had a better head to head with both Rafa and Roger. He sees these rivalries as inspiration for himself and the future generation. These matches could prove to be the best promotion for tennis for the younger players.

The Big 3 have been humble to each other. They have given the tennis world some of the best matches. Federer has 20, Nadal has 19 and Djokovic has 17 grand slams. This is closest to the grand slam battle has gotten in recent years. Federer is out for the rest of the season due to knee surgery. But with the US Open returning this could well help Nadal and Djokovic to close in on his tally if they decide to play.
Novak Djokovic has already added the 2020 Australian Open to his Grand Slam tally. He is currently playing in the Adria Tour. He is organizing the tour for charity. The first leg was held in Belgrade, Serbia. The second leg will take place this weekend in Zarda, Croatia.
