Ryan Garcia is coming off the biggest fight of the year thus far, and everyone seems to be talking about him. However, it’s his latest post about Floyd Mayweather that has the public buzzing even more! Last Saturday night, ‘The Flash’ defeated Devin Haney, who is often compared to Mayweather because of their similar defensive boxing style.

However, the people who watched Garcia’s fight would know he did something unorthodox. The Victorville native used his own version of Floyd’s Philly shoulder roll to bamboozle Haney during the fight. So, the question is—is this a thank you post from Garcia to the five-division champion? Spoiler alert—doesn’t seem like it.

Is Floyd Mayweather hilarious? Ryan Garcia says he is!

Turning to Instagram hours earlier, the 25-year-old boxing sensation shared a picture of Floyd Mayweather. However, it was no ordinary picture! From the looks of it, Garcia had FaceTimed Floyd, and the picture was a screenshot from their conversation. Simple, right? No! Garcia, being the biggest troll on the internet right now, didn’t spare Mayweather.

‘King Ry’ captioned the post, “Floyd is hilarious.” However, the picture itself was photoshopped and Garcia made it seem like he was on a call with Floyd. That’s not all! He used a 50 Cent song on the post, trolling Mayweather for his beef with the American rapper. So, when the fans discovered the subtle but ingenious and hilarious dig, let’s just say, they had a lot to say!

Fans join in to troll Mayweather with “Harry Potter book”

Both Floyd and Garcia boast an enormous fan following online, which ensured that the post attracted responses faster than a cat chasing a laser pointer. And boy, did the responses come in like a wrecking ball! One user warned Ryan Garcia about Floyd Mayweather, suggesting he should stay away from the retired boxer. The user wrote, “We love you, Ryan but stay away from Floyd.” It’s worth noting that because of Floyd Mayweather, the fight against Haney almost didn’t happen.

Another user brought up Mayweather’s legendary beef with former friend 50 Cent by asking whether the retired boxer could read an entire page of the ‘Harry Potter’ book. “Ok, but can he read a page of a Harry Potter book,” the user asked. At the peak of their back and forth, 50 Cent trolled Mayweather by challenging him to read an entire page of ‘Harry Potter.’

Meanwhile, this user pointed out that the picture itself was photoshopped. The user wrote, “Y’all do know this is photoshopped.” While it’s sort of obvious, Garcia’s new fanbase may not have realized that.

Someone else underscored Garcia’s fighting style during the Devin Haney fight, claiming he was using Mayweather’s Philly shoulder roll. “So I hope I’m not the only one said that fight style was Floyds,” the user remarked.

The next user injected Gervonta Davis into the conversation, suggesting if Garcia had fought Davis at the same weight as Haney, Garcia would have won. “If ryan was fighting tank at the weight he did against devin i recon ryan wins,” the user wrote. While the possibility of that happening is quite significant, only a rematch could reveal the truth.

With the new found hype, Ryan Garcia seems to have taken aim at Floyd Mayweather, trolling and taking digs at him. However, will Mayweather respond? Will this start a new beef? Will this spiral into a rematch with Gervonta Davis? Let us know in the comment section below.
