“We’ll Go Back and Be Better Than We Were Before”- Tyson Fury
The Coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc all over the world, crippling the lives of millions of people. However, for someone like Tyson Fury, the lockdown is not necessarily an unwelcome notion.
February saw Fury pull off one of the biggest wins of his career against Deontay Wilder. Claiming the WBC title at the MGM Grand after dropping Wilder and forcing his cornermen to throw in the towel in the seventh round.
Looking at the glass as half full, Fury is seemingly making the best of this situation. Because the lockdown has allowed him to spend time with his wife and children in his Morecambe home.

“Sometimes we get caught up in the rat race and caught up in life. We don’t really take time to appreciate the things that we’re lucky to do on a daily basis. Like go out and roam around, and be free and do what we want to do. All that sort of stuff, we take for granted. And we’re always in a mindset where we always want more.”- Tyson Fury to Sky Sports
Looking to avoid the media whirlwind, Fury wants to take this time to revel in the company of his family. A sense of monotony comes as the need of the hour in his battle with mental health.
“We never stop, take a minute to look around and be thankful for what we do have. I’ve been banging this drum for years about being thankful for what we do have, the small things in life.”- Tyson Fury
What Awaits Tyson Fury After the Lockdown Ends
A trip to the local leisure center for workouts has replaced the prospect of wild celebrations at the end of the lockdown for Fury. However, The Gypsy King has managed to keep up with his workouts at home along with his family and fans. Fury has been hosting workout sessions every day on Instagram Live.
“First thing I’ll do? To be honest, and truthful with you, my life is like a lockdown anyway, whether it’s lockdown or not. It gives me something to get up for in the morning, to look forward to, to inspire others. Just imagine people who are in high-rise buildings and people who haven’t got a garden and stuff, who can’t get out and exercise.”- Tyson Fury
