Wilder had a unique and rather ironic take on being declared the Boxing Ambassador of Peace, stating, “Everything is just amazing. To name me the boxing ambassador of peace and my profession is so opposite of peace. I knock men out. I knock their brains out. They are all over the canvas and their body does weird things once that happens. And I am also the ambassador of peace. Outside of the ring, I am a peaceful man. I am the type of person to motivate you, inspire you to do great things.” As fans, we know that’s absolutely true.
