After a thrilling ending of the first encounter, the Gypsy King, Tyson Fury, and the Bronze Bomber, Deontay Wilder will meet each other in the ring again. In the span between the first fight and the rematch, both Wilder and Fury have fought some tough opponents.
Deontay Wilder fought the veteran, Luis Ortiz and after a tough battle, he finally landed the finishing blow to secure the victory. However, Fury had a tougher road leading to the rematch. The Gypsy King took on Otto Wallin. Though Fury showed perseverance and won the fight via decision he suffered a gruesome eye injury in the fight.

Tyson Fury suffered an eye injury against Otto Wallin
It took 47 stitches to shut the opening on Fury’s eye after the Otto Wallin fight. And the boxing pundits can not help but speculate whether that will affect the outcome of the fight.

Wilder is known for his freakish power. He secured a huge knockdown over Fury in the first fight and came very close to winning it. What if Wilder’s punch glazes Fury’s eye resulting in a similar injury to the one in Otto Wallin fight? There is a threat that the ringside doctor might stop the fight.

Fury gives an update on his injury

In a recent interview with Gareth A Davies gives an update on his healing eye and stated:
“The eye is doing well. The eye is healed up quite well. Is there any risk? I don’t know because I am not a surgeon. I am sure there will be. There is nothing much I can do about that. if it opens up it opens us. It’s out of my control. Nothing I can do about that eye-opening in a fight.”
Tyson Fury is just happy that the eye has healed up really nice without any lumps and bumps. Fury also made it clear that irrespective of how he feels about his eye injury he will show up and get his hands raised in the rematch against Deontay Wilder.

“A cut or bruise or black eyes, it ain’t going to make me want to stop boxing.” Fury continued.
