Anderson Silva Dedicates Victory to Bruce Lee and Wing Chun- Taunts Tito Ortiz for His Comments

Anderson Silva just picked up his third professional boxing win after viciously knocking out Tito Ortiz in the very first round. The former UFC middleweight champion looked loose and comfortable right from the start.
Known for his terrific counter striking ability, ‘The Spider’ was quick to find the perfect opening to land a clean left hook that visibly stunned Ortiz. And a quick follow-up hook was more than enough to send his fellow MMA star crashing to the canvas.
Interestingly, both opponents had to weigh in at 195 pounds for the fight. However, Ortiz seemed skeptical from the start and weighed in at 200 pounds. Anderson Silva has once again taken the combat sports world by storm, displaying an ability to learn and grow even at forty-six.

During the build-up of the fight, Tito Ortiz took a shot at Anderson Silva, poking fun at the legend for planning to use his “Magic Wung Chun, Bruce Lee b***s**t” against him during their boxing match. Although ‘The Spider’ didn’t respond to the disrespectful comment made by Ortiz during the press conference, he subtly snapped back at his defeated opponent during the post-fight interview.
‘I train hard for this fight, you know. I training hard for showing my respect for the boxing world. And I continue to work every day to prove my respect for the martial arts and Wing Chun and Bruce Lee. One can appreciate Anderson Silva’s sense of humor. The legend made it a point to let his performance do the talking first and will look to do the same against his future boxing opponents.
What’s next for Anderson Silva?
At the age of forty-six, Anderson Silva seems to have found the fountain of youth. A split decision victory against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. And now a knockout victory against Tito Ortiz makes it clear that his fighting days are far from over.
