American UFC fighter Nate Diaz recently shared a picture of Mike Tyson and Tupac Shakur on his Instagram. It incurs homage to the friendship that the late musician and the boxer had. The world evidently knows that the two shared a deep bonding with each other.

“Nobody can ever be confused and think I’m f***in Mike Tyson…”, Tupac’s hit song ‘The Uppercut’ had the legendary boxer’s mention in it. And it clearly states that the rapper had a lot of respect for his friend. However, the picture Nate Diaz shared certainly evokes nostalgic and melancholic feelings among the fandom.

Mike Tyson recalls his last conversation with Tupac

September 7, 1996, was a dichotomic day for Tyson. On one hand, the boxer won the hearts of the populace by defeating Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. On the other, he lost his dear friend Tupac on the same day.

He vividly remembered that day and he stated this in an interview, “Yes, I remember that fight because I remember talking to Tupac making sure that he will have the tape because I was coming out of his music. I could not make it on time. I thought I could be late.”

Furthermore, he narrated the last time he interacted with his friend Tupac, “I was at my house. I just had a brand new baby girl. I couldn’t believe it. And I told him I am coming to see you. I get dressed then I had to go I had to see my daughter and somebody told me he had got shot and the next morning they had released that he had died.”

Moreover, both the legends came from closely similar backgrounds and they certainly used to get along well. Furthermore, the iconic rapper even paid Tyson a visit while he was in jail. The boxer still speaks fondly of his late comrade, as does the rest of the world.
