Over the years, Floyd Mayweather has amassed millions of dollars thanks to his illustrious boxing career. There is a reason Mayweather is referred to as “Money”; the man is renowned for orchestrating the largest and most lucrative boxing events. In an old unearthed video, Shaquille O’Neal had to say a few things about him.

The above video shows Shaq distributing money to his friends or colleagues, and he stated in the video, “You know what, people love the Shaq diesel, because everybody, we go big.”

He further mentioned Mayweather and said, “Floyd, you ain’t the only one with that money now.”

Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most revered NBA players of his time, which earned him a fortune. However, he made a major part of his wealth after retiring from the sport. In addition to being a fantastic athlete, Shaq is an extremely astute investor and businessman which took his net worth to $400 million. Similarly, even Mayweather knows how to make money, which has helped him amass an astounding $1.2 billion in earnings over the course of his career.

When Shaquille O’Neal tried to buy an amusement park company 

The Los Angeles Lakers legend is known for his wit and humor. Shaq is always in the media spotlight and can be seen in various interviews and podcasts. Once the former NBA player appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and revealed why he was unable to buy ‘Six Flags’. 

Kimmel asked O’Neal, “And is it true that you tried to buy Six Flags?”

Shaq replied, “Yes.”

When Kimmel further asked, “What happened?”, he funnily responded, “I didn’t have enough money.” This left the host and the audience laughing out loud. 

Arlington, Texas serves as the corporate headquarters for Six Flags, an amusement park company established in the 1960s. The company boasts the seventh-highest attendance in the world and owns the most theme parks and water parks combined of any amusement park operator.

Shaq was unable to purchase the theme park company, but his other ventures have helped him become a successful businessman. He enjoys reinventing himself and has worked as an actor, athlete, host of his own show, and be an entrepreneur.
