Although the ‘Golden Boy of Boxing’ is no longer a professional boxer, he continues to make millions of dollars through his promotions company and other ventures.

Oscar De La Hoya plans to sell his promotions firm 

The 49-year-old was one of the biggest showstoppers of his time. His boxing career lasted from 1992 to 2008, which has earned him a fortune. Currently, his principal business is his promotions company, ‘Golden Boy Promotions’. Surprisingly, the promoter has given a hint at selling his company. 

While talking to ‘FightHype.com‘, he stated, “We are sitting on gold and I’ve never been one to shy away from a great offer. So, you know there’s several people who actually wanna buy my company and you know I’m gonna think it over, but I love the sport too much, so we’ll see what happens.” 

The American has stated publicly that if a suitable offer is made, he will consider selling his company. This has undoubtedly sparked interest in the market. Despite his claims that he likes the sport too much, you never know if selling the company becomes a reality.
