Fans all over the world are frequently interested in learning about the path to success of their favorite athletes and like watching documentaries based on their heroes. As such, Floyd Mayweather, a boxing superstar, has announced his intention to produce a docuseries based on his life.

People really enjoyed the documentary, ‘The Last Dance’, which was about the Chicago Bulls and its sensational player, Michael Jordan. The ‘pretty boy’ of boxing has been mocked by fans for creating his own series since the news broke out.

A fan wrote, “Is it gonna be on the Comedy Central channel.”

Some users criticized Mayweather for being called a G.O.A.T, and one said, “This is no way near the Greatest or Goat he only fought scrubs he never fought top rated fighters on a consistent basis.” While another fan shared the same views and wrote, “To be a GOAT you have to be a class act in the ring and out. He falls way short out of the ring for sure. Ask Vegas PD.”

Another fan pointed out Mayweather funding his own docuseries, and even mentioned Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’, “He’s funding a documentary about himself? Did MJ produce the last dance?” 

“I’m going to dodge this like he dodged Pacquiao in his prime.”

Another fan said, “You can’t name yourself a goat, you goofy, the people pick.”

Floyd Mayweather sheds some light on ‘The GOAT’ series

The 45-year-old Hall of Famer was in conversation with TMZ regarding his new docuseries being produced, named ‘The GOAT’. The five-division boxing champ mentioned that he has teamed up with some Hollywood producers and billionaire Robert Smith for his upcoming project.

Furthermore, he stated, “I just feel the world should see a different part of Floyd Mayweather. I think the people should see a different part of me.”

Apparently, ‘Money’ added that he wants to tell his story from the beginning, since the time he was living in New Jersey. Additionally, he mentioned that the series would discuss the difficult periods in his life, like how his father was imprisoned and how his grandmother had to work as a housekeeper in order to care for him. Only time will tell how the series pans out.
