@vsgent reported a candid message made by Antetokounmpo in which he talks about how he does not require anyone to motivate him. He stated, “There is nobody around me. nobody likes me, man. It is what it is. Sometimes in life, people are not going to be around you to motivate you. To push you, to celebrate you.”

Indeed, those are some words of wisdom. His message makes it evident why Antetokounmpo is such a successful basketball player. He added, “You gotta do it on your own. That’s what I am doing right now.”

In an interview, the young player compared himself to the likes of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. He admitted that the two are more talented than him but he was “desperate” to work hard to where he is right now.

He stated, “I’m not as talented as Steph. I’m not as talented as KD, I’m f****g desperate, and I’m obsessed. So I f****g work as hard as I can because I don’t want to lose this s—“
