Philadelphia native Kobe Bryant is regarded as the greatest NBA player of all time. He was so dedicated to his craft that even today, people and aspiring sportsmen still heed his principles and adopt the ‘mamba mentality’ he popularised in order to succeed. Sadly, we lost the legend in 2020. A well-known fighter, though, recently mentioned Kobe in his Instagram story.

While showing his disapproval toward the people of Philadelphia, the boxing champ also mentioned American football quarterback Donovan McNabb, who received a similar reaction from people as Bryant.

When Kobe Bryant opened up about people of his hometown booing him

‘The Black Mamba’ was a force to be reckoned with, and he spent his entire 20-year-old basketball career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with being an exceptional athlete, he was also a phenomenal team player, and he and his teammate Shaquille O’Neal made one of the most feared duo’s in NBA history.

While talking about the people of his hometown booing him, Kobe seemed emotional about it and stated, “My feelings are hurt man. I mean I’m just out there trying to play and have a good time, my feelings are hurt man being from Philadelphia.”

Philadelphia is known as ‘the city of brotherly love’, and even Spence made a mention of it in his Instagram story.

What is next for Errol Spence Jr.?

With a stellar 28-0 record in the welterweight class, ‘The Truth’ has been strutting his way to the top. In April of this year, he fought and defeated Yordenis Ugas inside the ring. He is eagerly anticipating his greatest contest yet, which might make him the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.

On Twitter, Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford, his biggest challenger, have been at odds. Fans have long anticipated a confrontation between the two, and it appears that it is getting closer. If that occurs, fans would pack the boxing ring and it could be the largest bout in boxing history.
