The four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The 7-feet 1-inch giant hasn’t faded away since his retirement. Meaning O’Neal has turned himself into a global celebrity and is a sports analyst for the show Inside The NBA currently.

Other than that, O’Neal has starred in a number of movies and shows in Hollywood, including his very own show ‘Shaq Vs’.

‘Shaq Vs.’ is an American TV series starring the basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, challenging different athletes in their own sport. Famously, he took on Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps in three swimming races, as well as boxing legends, Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosley.

In season 1 episode 4, the LA Lakers legend went toe to toe with Golden Boy fighter De La Hoya in a five-round sparring match with headgear. It was a sight to behold as it perfectly paralleled the David and Goliath storyline. The former boxer defeated O’Neal via decision after an emphatic performance by both athletes.

Additionally, in the next season of the show, O’Neal took a smaller challenge than De La Hoya in 5-foot-9-inch ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley.

The duo put on an incredible show for fans around the world. However, this fight went along the same lines as the last one as Mosley, much like De La Hoya, outboxed O’Neal and won the five-round match via decision.

It is no doubt that one of the tallest and heaviest players has etched his name in the history of the sport. Shaquille O’Neal had an exceptional partnership with the late great Kobe Bryant and they won the three-peat in 2000-2002.

Furthermore, he won his fourth NBA championship in 2006 as he switched his allegiance to the Miami Heat. Hence, the American basketball player has led a career that many could only dream about. Unsurprisingly, O’Neal was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
