A picture of Floyd Mayweather had gone viral on the internet when the boxing phenom attended an NBA match. It was a sensational battle between Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers on February 15, 2022.

Apparently, in the opening seven minutes of Q1, GSW’s Stephen Curry made back-to-back three-pointers. Since the start of the game, the “Baby-Faced Assassin” had been present in all of his glory. Interestingly, Mayweather was watching from the courtside, and it was obvious from the look on his face that he was in awe of Steph’s brilliance.

Curry made some impactful attempts that day, which intimidated his opponents. However, you can never foresee what will happen in sports. In the end, Clippers emerged as winners that day.

Floyd Mayweather is interested in buying an NBA team 

There is a reason why Mayweather is nicknamed ‘Money’. Whenever there is a discussion about the most lucrative boxing fights in history, Mayweather’s name tops the list. His most lucrative matches include his bouts against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and the Irish UFC phenom Conor McGregor. 

While talking to ESPN, the ‘Pretty Boy’ stated, “As soon as I get an NBA team, I’m going to stop betting. I’m [walking] away from betting. You can’t bet when you own an NBA team, so I look forward to getting an NBA team in the future. So once I get an NBA team, I’m going to no longer bet.”

Furthermore, he even posted a picture on his Instagram with Lakers legend Magic Johnson. He even mentioned in his caption, “It’s about time for me to buy an NBA team.” However, after that, there were no more discussions about it, although the boxer was frequently seen attending NBA games.
