Boxing organizations are taking some terrific efforts to promote clean boxing all around the globe. This is because boxers testing positive for banned substances pins the entire sport in an unpleasant light and causes fans to lose their interest in ‘Sweet Science’.
WBC recently came up with a stern decision and removed boxers who did not join the VADA clean boxing program from its rankings. The names that got the boot include the likes of Conor Benn, Mario Barrios, Mauricio Lara, Lee McGregor, and Chris Billam-Smith. Hence, it is clear that no one is exempt.

Michael Benson broke the news on his Twitter and wrote, “The WBC have announced that Conor Benn, Mario Barrios, Mauricio Lara, Lee McGregor and Chris Billam-Smith have been removed from their rankings this month as they have not registered for the VADA Clean Boxing Programme. They still have the opportunity to enrol and be reinstated.”
The likes of Conor Benn, Mario Barrios, and Mauricio Lara have some buzz around them and have been in the limelight.

From the trio, Conor Benn, who has the most buzz around him, bagged three wins last year. That said, the highly promising young gun should enroll and get reinstated.
