Boxing legend Mike Tyson was a beast during his prime and often seemed like a man obsessed with the goal of becoming the best. Moreover, Tyson backed his talk by training rigorously to become one of the greatest boxers in the sport. His workouts were some of the most intense and exhausting ones, testing both physical and mental strength.

Thus, it was no surprise when a bodybuilder once tried to emulate one of Iron Mike’s workouts and was defeated in the process. Back in 2020, following Tyson’s exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr., bodybuilder, and YouTuber Gabriel Sey decided to train like Tyson for a day.

Sey started off the day like Kid Dynamite waking up at 4 a.m. to go for a run. This was then followed by a shower and going back to bed. Moreover, he then tried to take on the boxing drills that Iron Mike did. This included 6 3-minute rounds of pad work, and then 10 3-minute rounds of sparring. The bodybuilder seemingly was fatigued just after this and was not shy to express it. “The sparring is a different level. I can’t believe he does 10 rounds every day,” he said.

Sey even went on to do the bodyweight workout including 2000 squats, which made him call ‘bulls**t’ on Tyson’s workout. “I kind of want to call bulls**t on this whole routine. The sparring took a while in itself… it’s a ridiculous amount. I’m a wreck right now.” He added.
