‘A Fury and a Drug Test, What Can Go Wrong’: Jake Paul & Tommy Fury Entering VADA Testing News Draws Strong Reactions

YouTuber turned boxing sensation, Jake Paul is currently on cloud nine. And it can be said that his long-awaited fight against Tommy Fury, becoming official, had a major hand in it. The Paul vs Fury showdown is undoubtedly a highly anticipated matchup for the boxing fraternity and fans alike. The fight was, in fact, scheduled twice previously, but it did not materialize. Moreover, this, in turn, has kept fans on the edge of their seats for updates after this fight was announced for the third time. It was recently reported that both Paul and Fury had signed for testing by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

Paul is scheduled to fight Fury on February 25, 2023. Meanwhile, the duo was recently in attendance at the Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde showdown in the UK. The duo went on to have a face-off and a press conference at the same event. And also took personal digs at Fury in true ‘Maverick’ fashion.

The recent announcement of the VADA signing, as reported by Michael Benson on Twitter, further intrigued the fans about the prerequisites of the fight. Notably, this meant that VADA could visit the duo unannounced at any point in their training camps for drug tests.

It should also be mentioned that this was one of the demands that Fury made during their last fight announcement.

A lot of fans were confused by the duo’s decision to sign up for PED testing. In fact, many of them took to social media to share their thoughts about the same.

A few fans were unsure if Fury might actually pass the drug test.

Meanwhile, a user was a lot more surprised about the VADA signing than the fight itself.

On the other hand, another user was sure that Fury will pull out of the fight.

However, a user had a more diplomatic take on the fight. The user wanted the duo to fight regardless of what they used.
