Billy Joe Saunders has appeared invincible in his professional boxing career, holding championships in two weight classes and a record of 30-0. He is currently the WBO super middleweight champion, aiming for a title unification fight against the big names of the division.

While there are umpteen veterans and elites in the active roster, Saunders continues to boast of his prowess. That said, he has all the reasons to express his superiority. The 31-year-old southpaw puncher has come a long way in the sport.

Right from the amateur level to the pro circuit, it has been an intense journey. Saunders went 49-0 as an amateur, winning the 2007 Commonwealth Championship and the 2008  Strandya Cup. Per People Pill, Saunders qualified for Beijing Olympics in 2008. However, he ended up losing to Carlos Banteux in his second-round bout.

Following the glittery amateur ride, Billy Joe Saunders signed with Frank Warren in December 2008 and became a professional pugilist. Since becoming a pro, ‘Superb’ Saunders has had a fairy tale run. He has held the WBO world titles at 160 and 168 lbs.
