When is Gervonta Davis, aka Abdul Wahid, lacing up those gloves again? It’s a million-dollar question that has kept his fans and boxing pundits awake at night! However, one thing is for sure! He is not fighting in Saudi Arabia as His Excellency Turky Alalshikh denied Davis’ request for two Ferraris! The update comes after ‘Tank’ was offered to fight in Saudi against a familiar name.

Not long ago, Alalshikh invited Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis for a fight in Saudi as part of the Riyadh Season. While ‘The Dream’ seemed more than eager, Davis demanded two Ferraris in a tweet. So, while appearing in an interview with MMA Hour today, the man behind all the Saudi events took a dig at Davis. More importantly, Davis responded through a tweet!

Speaking to Ariel Helwani in his popular segment MMA Hour, Alalshikh finally responded to Davis’ demand. He stated, “I heard Davis said ‘Send to me two Ferraris.’ I say to him – we will send you two gloves if you want. That’s it.” Mere hours after the interview went live on YouTube, online boxing editor Michael Benson picked up the story and shared it on X.

As one would guess, ‘Tank’ quickly found the tweet from Benson and responded to Alalshikh’s sly dig at him. Davis retorted, “When did I ever need em?” Davis might not think he needs anything from the Saudi advisor, but his ever-expanding absence from the sport may soon turn into a whole year out of the ring. Meanwhile, a name is being touted around as Davis’ next opponent!

Business partner to Floyd Mayweather on Davis’ next fight

Not long ago, a report from Ring Magazine suggested Davis is expected to fight an unknown opponent in the summer in the United Kingdom. And the name that has been making the rounds on the internet as his next potential opponent is Frank Martin. While there’s no concrete evidence behind it, Leonard Ellerbe thinks even if they fought, ‘Tank’ has nothing to worry about!

While appearing in an interview with Fight Hype on February 1, the reporter brought up the question. Was Gervonta Davis fighting Martin? While Ellerbe did not confirm anything, he claimed, “Frank Martin can’t beat ‘Tank’ Davis. None of those guys can beat Tank Davis. Frank’s a good a** fighter. He can’t beat ‘Tank’ though.”
