According to Celebrity Net Worth, the former champion is worth a reported $6 million. However, this figure should have been much higher given his success. He made a reported $2.6 million for the fight against Manny Pacquiao alone.

Add to this the $1.5 million from the Paulie Malignaggi fight and other PPV events which paid in millions, and Broner had the foundation for a luxurious lifestyle. However, bad financial decisions, indiscipline, and other habits meant Broner lost a lot of his wealth.

The former champion lost so much money that he ended up filing for bankruptcy in 2020. However, it was later revealed to be a trick to avoid a reported $830,000 fine for another controversy he found himself in.

As you can expect, Broner faced a lot of criticism for this. Fans saw through it and ridiculed the former champion using the comments section on the same post. However, that did not stop Broner. He has since posted multiple posts calling fans to send him money.

Therefore, for a man who referred to himself as ‘About Billions’, things really fell apart in the last few years. He is now making a comeback to the sport and will fight on February 20. Moreover, he has already teased an exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather.

If it happens, Broner could soon be at the monetary level he was at before all the controversies struck. However, for now, Broner is a far cry from the wealthy boxer that he was.
