Age might have gotten the best of Don King, but his acumen to get his fighters the best fights out there remains strong. Perhaps, that is why when the time dawned to restart his career, which was marred in negative coverage, Adrien Broner sought the 92-year-old legend’s assistance. Now, having received it, and tested waters with it, Broner believes he’s at the precipice of taking over the world. Of course, these ambitions make their way with King’s confidence in him.

Cincinnati-based, Broner who lept out of the ring after his 2020 win over Jovanie Santiago, did not see the face of a professional undertaking until last year. The two-year-long sabbatical was attributed to the mental health issues and alcoholism that he struggled with. However, when most assumed that ‘The Problem’ had hung his gloves for good, his resilience shone through. In a shocker, to start from where he left off, Broner defeated Bill Hutchinson last year on points. The victory boosted his confidence and his credibility as a fighter. Hence, to embark upon this streak, he hopes to follow suit.

He remarked, “Adrien is ready and excited to show his championship skills once again for the delight of the great boxing fans.” Now that the world knows about their togetherness, the fighter-promoter duo takes their efforts to the next level.

On his Instagram stories, Broner posted a video in which he was speaking to the promoter, who’s slowed down in the business he once ruled. The fighter asked, “Don, you ready to take over the world? ” King asked, “Take over the world?” The 35-4-1, fighter replied, “Again. Again, Don. We gonna take over the world again, Don.” The legendary promoter then added in the affirmative, “Yes, that’s right.”
