Adrien Broner was captivating the boxing world one fight at a time. He was a pound-for-pound ranker, with outstanding boxing skills, and was skilled at verbally pitching fights. But around the year 2017, his once-promising career began to falter. Whose fault was it, his or his handers? Recent remarks by the boxer paint a subtle picture of what might have happened.

Al Haymon, who represents Floyd Mayweather and founded Premier Boxing Champions(PBC), is one of the most well-known individuals in the boxing community. Along with Mayweather, Haymon’s wisdom and genius have helped numerous fighters progress their careers. And Adrien Broner is one of them.

Recently, Broner and Haymon’s PBC broke apart over objectives that the fighter disagreed with. He now works with BLK Prime, a brand-new competitor in the market. But the question arises, why would Broner leave a company with such a strong reputation as PBC?

Adrien Broner reveals the reason for his departure from PBC 

A significant portion of Broner’s boxing career was managed by Haymon’s business, which is also connected to Showtime. Most typically, the multi-division champion took the top spot in the main events. Broner, though, was made to consider a change by the compensation that was recently provided to him.

Broner stated just in the near past, “Just think, right, you get a guy—no disrespect to Al Or PBC and Espinoza and them. But they, like, the type of money you want, you gotta go in there and fight Godzilla. But we gon’ pay you. But you gotta go fight Godzilla.’ Then you got a guy (BLK Prime) like, ‘aight we’ll pay you triple that and you can pick whoever the f— you want to fight.”        

The new fight date for Broner with his new partnership

The Cincinnati native seems to be very content with his new partnership with BLK Prime. The organization is a newcomer to the sector, yet they just paid Terence Crawford $10 million for his bout with David Avanesyan.

Additionally, Broner has been inactive in boxing for the past couple of years. He was scheduled to face Omar Figueroa not long ago. He backed out of the fight, though, citing mental health difficulties.

However, now he will compete in a welterweight match against Ivan Redkach. Broner will engage in his first match since teaming up with BLK Prime on February 25, 2023.
