Boxing fans is in a state of perpetual disagreement with the judges ever since Devin Haney defeated Vasiliy Lomachenko via a controversial decision. Many boxing purists and fans are of the opinion that the former champion Lomachenko had won the majority of rounds to secure the victory. Though, despite the decision being controversial, Haney is still the undisputed lightweight champion and continues to be undefeated.

In the post-fight interview, Haney hinted at moving up the division but kept the door open for certain fights at lightweight. He expressed his interest to square off against Gervonta Davis. However, Floyd Mayweather‘s uncle, Jeff Mayweather, does not fancy Haney in that potential match after witnessing his performance against Lomachenko.

Jeff Mayweather predicts Devin Haney Vs Gervonta Davis

Jeff Mayweather is a respected boxing trainer and his insights are highly regarded in the sport. Amidst tantalizing rumors of Haney and Davis, Mayweather made his prediction public. @dantheboxingman on Twitter posted an interview by Fight Hub TV in which Mayweather asserted, “The Devin that we seen tonight(with Loma) has NO chance against Tank.”

He then reasoned by stating, “He took more risk than he needed to and with Tank it only takes 1 punch. If he hit you one time, the fight can be over. So you fight at a safe distance and you gonna have to do it the whole entire fight.”
