Many celebrities have incorporated boxing into their workouts. While competing as a professional boxer might be dangerous, learning it as a skill can be very helpful. Actors such as Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian are major advocates of the sport and have been seen boxing on many occasions.

It seems like another celebrity has garnered a liking for boxing and it’s none other than Spiderman’s famed actress Zendaya. A video revealed the actress in a boxing gym trying the sport for the first time. The training involved pad work, footwork, and head movement.

At the start, Zendaya looked impressive on the pads and was feeling motivated to complete the session. “I’m a gangster. This can’t hurt me” she said. However, as the session went along, both she and her partner started to get tired and understand the real challenges of the sport.

Zendaya felt like the session was great for her and stated that although she might beat anyone in a real match, this was a great experience. “I don’t think I can do anything if real-life circumstances were involved but you know what I’ll look good that’s all that matters go down in style,” she said.

The Spiderman actress might not become a professional boxer, however, she could be a great ambassador for the sport and its benefits.

Why do celebrities include boxing in their workouts?

Boxing training involves high cardio, strength building, and conditioning. Boxing not only helps one get better in a combat sport but also helps the body adapt to pain. Moreover, learning boxing can be a great booster to the physical and mental health of people. Therefore, many celebrities have included boxing in their workouts.
