It is no secret that fines are imposed on boxers if they fail to weigh in at the sanctioned weight. However, in a recent turn of events, Charlo might be liable to pay a heavy fine, on top of the prescribed fine if he weighs 10 pounds more heavy on fight night. The middleweight would be asked to weigh in again and must be under 176 lbs to prevent any further consequences.
While the quantum of the fine was not disclosed, @DanRafael1 took to Twitter and stated, “Charlo already had to pay a significant amount of his purse to Benavidez Jr. for being 3.4 pounds overweight. He is subject to another heavy fine if he goes up more than 10 pounds overnight before a Saturday morning weight check”
