Terence Crawford is undefeated as far as the boxing ring is concerned. However, the same isn’t true in his other competitive endeavors! In a recent twist, ‘Bud’ Crawford took to Instagram, taunting NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant following a win in a one-on-one basketball game. The update comes after Bryant shared a clip of their prior game on X yesterday.

The pair were engaged in a one-on-one football challenge, which the wide receiver won with ease. Bryant proceeded to taunt the undefeated boxer on X by writing, “I went [one-on-one] with the champ! [I] Had to show em. It’s real.” Crawford – being as competitive as ever, had to get back at Bryant for the loss, which produced this hilarious moment Crawford shared on his Instagram story today!

Terence Crawford: Texas takes another L

A handful of hours ago, the former undisputed champion shared the clip, playfully teasing Bryant. They were done with their game, and Bryant was sitting on the floor, busy on his phone. However, Crawford soon showed up gloating about his win. “Another one bites the dust! What happened? Aye, you lost! It’s on camera! Hold on, time out! Texas takes another L.” Crawford remarked.

He then went on to tease the football player further, cheekily taunting, “I am your kryptonite. You did that in football; one-on-one, you lost.” Meanwhile, Bryant shared Crawford’s Instagram story in his own timeline moments later, claiming the opposite to be true. Responding to Crawford’s taunts, the 35-year-old wrote, “I really beat him.” Regardless of whether Bryant beat him or not, a Uzbekistani professional boxer thinks Crawford beat Naoya Inoue in the pound-for-pound list.

Who is the true number one?

Yesterday, DAZN revealed Ring Magazine’s top five pound-for-pound boxers and the top two spots were taken up by Crawford and Inoue. Many such lists feature the fighters in the top two positions interchangeably. But Inoue’s division mate, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, thinks Crawford deserves the number one spot. 

Of course, ‘The Mexican Monster’ steamrolled through Marlon Tapales recently, who defeated Akhmadaliev before, so his opinion might be a bit skewed. Nevertheless, he told Boxing Scene, “There’s no doubt that Inoue is a great fighter, but if I had to choose, I would choose Terence Crawford as the best pound-for-pound fighter.”
