Recently, Okamura was in a chat with Little Giant Boxing. Here, he opened up on his experience in this vertical and the bonding with Canelo, and beyond.

Talking about when he met Canelo for the first time, Okamura said, “Absolutely, they had already told me Canelo is a serious person.” 

“I’m always gonna give it my very best. I’m gonna repeat it again. He’s the #1 therefore we all need to match his greatness,” he added.

Canelo keeps a stringent diet when he’s training. However, Alvarez does enjoy his favorite meals when he has a substantial break between two fights.

These days, the p4p king is relishing his off time, and he hasn’t started preparing for his next boxing bout. That said, Canelo might not be too strict with his diet, but he still is in sublime shape. And once his next fight is announced, Alvarez will be back to his grilling regimes again.
