Manny Pacquiao is widely regarded as one of the greatest icons of boxing. Beginning his career in 1995, Pacquiao became a fan favorite with his all round boxing style and his fight IQ. Despite his career-ending on a not-so-high note last year, Pacquiao still gained immense respect from fans and fighters around the world.
Apart from boxing, ‘Pac Man’ is known for his work in the political vertical, charity, and more. However, are you aware of the fact that Pacquiao is a promoter too?
Manny Pacquiao has his own promotion venture, MP Promotions. There’s no concise news as to when ‘Pac Man’ formed this company, but BoxRec shows that MP Promotions began promoting boxing events in 2006.

The very first fight MP Promotions promoted was Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar Larios for the WBC international super-featherweight title. This fight took place in ‘Pac Man’s home country- the Philippines. Post this event, MP Promotions took on only a few events in the following years.
Not only Pacquiao’s fights, but MP Promotions also promoted fights for other boxers. However, they haven’t really come close to competing with the biggies like Top Rank, Matchroom, and more.
In the later years, Pacquiao’s foe, Floyd Mayweather, too, came up with his promotional venture- Mayweather Promotions. That said, Pacquiao and Mayweather stand poles apart with their promotions, and ‘TBE’s venture is undoubtedly in the limelight.
Regardless of that, ‘Pac Man’ might leverage his place in this space since he’s retired. However, scaling up will truly be a task for him.
