Amanda Serrano proved her brilliance yet again after putting on a sensational performance against Miriam Gutierrez. The two stalwarts locked horns in the co-main event of the Paul vs Woodley 2 card and entertained the vast boxing masses. In the end, Serrano dominated and attained a unanimous decision win.

Serrano applied relentless pressure on Gutierrez right from the first gong. She marched Gutierrez down with her body shots and sharp jabs. On top of this, ‘The Real Deal’ took her opponent to the corner to land a barrage of punches and unleashed her hooks, straight lefts, and crosses.

With a blistering opening in round 1, Serrano took control of the fight to a great extent. However, Gutierrez came out better in round 2 and the exchange between the two technicians was leveled. Despite that, Serrano had an upper hand in this round, as she didn’t let the Spanish boxer dictate the pace of the fight.

In round 3, ‘The Real Deal’ employed her slip and counter strategy. Citing that, Gutierrez changed her approach and waited for the Puerto Rican boxer to come ahead with her hits. Serrano shifted her radar onto Gutierrez’s body later and connected some thunderous body shots.

The 38-year-old came out better in the latter half of the fight. However, it just wasn’t enough for her to put Serrano on the back foot.

Amanda Serrano – Just too good for Miriam Gutierrez

The 33-year-old cut the distance well to keep her punching accuracy right at the top, and Gutierrez had no answers to the assault coming from Serrano’s end. She suffered a bloody nose in round 7 as she consistently ate punches.
