American heavyweight Lucas Browne is willing to fill the void created by Deontay Wilder by stepping up against the WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, in December.

Since Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are no longer fighting each other, it opened the gate for several heavyweights to get a crack at ‘The Gypsy King’ and the WBC title. While unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is the most preferable name to replace Wilder, the matchup is still far from being staged.

That said, Lucas Browne might bring back Tyson Fury into boxing action. Although Fury is still to react to the notion, Browne has wholeheartedly offered himself to fight.

Lucas Browne might be the one against Tyson Fury

‘Big Daddy’ Brown claimed that he has come across several media reports that cite him as the perfect replacement for Wilder. Considering it to be an honor to face Tyson Fury, Browne further claimed to knock him out for the WBC strap if they fight.

“The Fury and Wilder fight is no longer happening, so he wants to have some sort of warm-up fight before Joshua. Now, if that is me, I would be more than willing to jump in. It will be an absolute honor to jump in the ring with ‘The Gypsy King’, who arguably is one of the best heavyweights on the planet at the moment.”

Lucas Browne (29-2) has got 25 knockout wins under his name and is one of the top-rated heavyweights of this era. However, he hasn’t faced someone like ‘The Gypsy King.’ While boxing is a miracle sport where anything is possible, Browne cannot simply rely on the statement.

If Fury fights him, it will help the American for all the obvious reasons. First, he will bag a heavy payday. The matchup will also garner considerable attention. Moreover, Browne will enter the heavyweight title mix with an opportunity to bag the WBC belt.
