The former boxing sensation, Amir Khan, has his eyes set on a sturdy comeback to the ring in 2021. ‘King Khan’ has no intention of hanging his gloves up anytime sooner. He also has an opponent in mind, and it is none other than his long-time nemesis, Kell Brook. The pair have called each other out frequently, but the score has remained unsettled.
Khan was in a conversation with Khaleej Times, and he put some light on his comeback for 2021 and his plans post that.

The Brit said, “I think with Kell Brook, who has always been running his mouth, I think put him in his place now. I think it is about time now to put him in his place and shut him up for good.” In response to a question on retirement, he said, “No, no, the gloves are still on,”

The duo was on the verge of signing for a pro-bout in 2018, but it later set Khan to face the current WBO welterweight king, Terence Crawford. Although Khan ended up losing his fight against Crawford, he bounced back with a TKO win over Billy Dib in the subsequent year.
“I am thinking of fighting probably next year. This year was a bit of a bad year for everybody. And boxing was off… I want to fight again around March or April,” Khan added.

Is Kell Brook an ideal opponent for Amir Khan?
Brook is a veteran of the sport with an impressive professional boxing resume. He has 39 wins and just 3 losses to his name. He fought twice this year and has kept himself active in the roster.

Both Brook and Khan are currently unaligned with any opponent. And since Khan has expressed his urge to take on Brook, this fight can be an ideal one for both the contenders.
The prolonged beef between the pair has to get settled once and for all inside the ring. Needless to say, it will be the most talked about fight in the upcoming year.
