Andy Ruiz Jr took to Twitter on Thursday and dropped a poster of his fight with former WBA interim heavyweight champion Luis Ortiz. Amid the uncertainty of the next opponent, the former WBA, IBF, and WBO unified champ framed it for his fans. It is not clear yet who he will fight next.

Just for taking the review of his fans, he wrote, “How many of my fans would like to see this fight happen.”

Prior to this probable line-up, the renowned promoter Eddie Hearn had offered the contract of the clash between Ruiz Jr and multiple titleholders at regional level Dereck Chisora. However, the talk didn’t go far, as the Mexican had some other plans to work on. However, after the collapse of Chisora’s deal with ‘Destroyer’, The Matchroom Boxing Promoter interacted with talksport.com. He speculated, “I think Ruiz will fight Ortiz next. That’s a good fight.”

The Mexican-American rose to the heights of fame around 2019 when he shocked the boxing world in the biggest upset of the year by thrashing, then unified champion Anthony Joshua and became the first male heavyweight champion with Mexican heritage.

Later, He joined the camp of renowned trainer Eddy Reynoso in May 2020 and a year later he collided with Chris Arreola. Under the wings of four-weight division champ, Canelo Alvarez’s coach, Reynoso, he stepped back in the ring in the best shape of his career on May 2, 2021.

Though the battle was tough in the initial rounds, the Mexican emerged victoriously. He got knocked out in the second round, showed warrior spirit fought back, and earned the judge’s score in his favor.
