However, his comeback can be alluring, especially after he has had to shed some serious weight. Fans labeled Ruiz Jr. to be overweight, but we might see him in a new avatar, considering his recent physical get-up.

Meanwhile, it still raises some questions on how much weight ‘The Destroyer’ has lost. A picture of Ruiz Jr. clicking a selfie has made rounds over the internet. He looks extremely shredded with no body-fat on the belly. Hence, there’s no denying that he has undergone a major transformation.

However, it can be deceptive due to the bird’s-eye angle. ESPN Ringside has posted a couple of his pictures and has contrasted them. While a bare body Ruiz Jr. looks very different, another picture sites very minimal changes in his outlook. Being alongside Oscar Valdez, Canelo Alvarez, Ryan Garcia, and many more, Ruiz Jr. has regained his championship mindset. He seems hungrier than ever and plans to put together another successful run.

According to reports, he will return against former teammate Chris Arreola to resurrect his position in the ongoing heavyweight division. While he is still far from another championship shot, a win against Arreola can bring him closer to the title talks.

So, it would be an interesting comeback for ‘The Destroyer’ and he can rightfully determine the future of the division by placing himself in the current tale. Moreover, all doubts about his physique being real or a trick of the camera will vanish when he steps into the ring.
