Former unified champion, Andy Ruiz Jr., has undergone a serious transformation, getting rid of his body fat ahead of a massive return against Chris Arreola on May 1. ‘Destroyer’ is no longer out of a fighting shape and appears more confident than ever before.

While several fans had doubted his power due to the extreme weight loss, ‘The Destroyer’ revealed why it wouldn’t be a problem. Honed at Eddy Reynoso’s Team Canelo, the Mexican star has trained with umpteen world champions. Given the work put in, he seems to have resurrected himself as a prime heavyweight contender.

Ahead of the fight, he said, “I am more fast. I am more explosive, I could move around more. Bob and weave, counterpunch, you know and you know. Before I used to have this big gut and I couldn’t move around.”
