The heavyweight division might soon witness one of its most sensational bouts yet. It was reported that the highly anticipated undisputed showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk might finally take place. The duo was initially scheduled to fight in April 2023. However, the fight had to be canceled after their talks failed to bear fruit. Meanwhile, there have been speculations about a double showdown event, with Fury vs Usyk, and Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder. And, promoter Eddie Hearn has now revealed the high possibility of this ‘$400 million’ event taking place.

Hearn was recently in an interview with iFL TV. In conversation, he dropped the bomb about the possibility of both fights happening on the very same night. Hearn said, “There is definitely conversations that are taking place. Just of plans, where people would like to host Fury against Usyk and AJ against Wilder on the same night. It’s gonna cost a lot of money but would be epic, and we will have those conversations.”

Moreover, Hearn also stated that there was a Middle Eastern country that expressed interest in hosting both fights on the same night. He even revealed that the purse for both fights will be a whopping ‘$400 million’.

Fans feel that this fight card is far from reality

News about this event was posted by Michael Benson on his Instagram page. Fans, on the other hand, were not too sure about this fight card. In fact, a lot of them took to the comments to share their thoughts about the same. A user named Gary Saunders wasted no time exclaiming, “Million percent will not happen. Another load of boxing make believe that sounds good.”

Similarly, one user named Godz Kidz1 pitched in by saying, “Card of the century. Won’t happen.” Meanwhile, Mike Kuhn felt that Fury and Wilder will pose a problem for the fight. He said, “Usyk and AJ will most likely sign, no problem. Fury and Wilder will make this too difficult to push across the line.”

On the other hand, a few fans were interested in the prospect of the event. Marc Martinez mentioned, “This would be the greatest fight card of all time.” Vedp2306 also felt that the fight will be a major crowd-puller. He said, “Any combination of fights between those 4 fighters would sell massive PPV. And deserve their own main event.”
