The co-main feature on the Plant vs Alvarez card between Anthony Dirrell and Marcos Hernandez turned out to be better than expected. Both the technicians employed one of the finest game plans of their careers to make this contest highly alluring. However, in the end, it was Anthony Dirrell who captivated everyone’s attention with a fiery T/KO win.

The former two-time titlist took just a few seconds to decode Hernandez’s style. As a result, he landed a barrage of punches on his young adversary. ‘Madman’ responded with some excellent combinations, but the seasoned veteran walked in with a purpose and seemed unmoved.

Anthony Dirrell walked in with a purpose in this fight. He quickly figured out Hernandez’s style. Dirrell knew Hernandez would get tired in the later rounds because he had spent too much energy targeting the body. As a result, ‘The Dog’ let him do the same, and finally, in round 4, he struck Hernandez with a massive uppercut.

‘Madman’ didn’t expect this at all, as he felt the fight would go the distance. However, Dirrell, who had different plans, completely outclassed Hernandez with that one hit.

With this win, Dirrell improved to 34 wins and he once again showed why he’s one of the smartest technicians of the game.
