British Heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce called out the winner of Joshua vs Usyk. The British brute took a lot of punishment from Takam last Saturday but seemed unaffected by it. He immediately called out his next opponents after his fight against Takam, saying he wants the winner of the Joshua vs Usyk fight.

“Both of them [Joshua or Usyk], whoever wins the fight, I’m here. I’m coming for that WBO title so whoever wants to challenge me for it, I mean, I’ll challenge them for it, because they’ve got it. But I want it.” Joyce said, speaking after the fight with BT Sport.

Joe ‘Juggernaut’ Joyce did not fare well in the first few rounds as his 40-year-old opponent landed cleaner punches. Joyce demonstrated an iron chin, as he kept progressing despite taking some clean shots to the face. The fight looked pretty slow as both heavyweights pranced around the ring.

The turning point in the fight came when Joyce stunned Takam with a hook to the head. Takam wobbled around the ring but somehow stayed on his feet. Joyce smelled blood and went for the finish. After unleashing a barrage of punches, Takam refused to go down. So Joyce slowed down and started picking his punches.

Another one-two combo made Takam drop his hands, and the referee decided he saw enough. The referee stopped the fight in the sixth round, declaring the winner by TKO, Joe Joyce.

Will Joe Joyce get to fight the winner of Joshua vs Usyk?

Anthony ‘AJ’ Joshua will take on Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on September 25. This fight marks Anthony Joshua’s first mandatory title defense since winning his titles back from Andy ‘The Destroyer’ Ruiz. The winner of this fight will hold the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles.

There is very little chance that Joyce will fight the winner of this title fight. The winner of Joshua vs Usyk will look to unify the heavyweight belts, by going against the winner of the Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury vs Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder fight on October 9.

If he gets lucky, he may get to fight the loser of the Joshua vs Usyk fight. Who do you think Joe Joyce should fight next?
