The Ring Magazine’s last rankings update for the Top 10 Active Heavyweight Boxers created a frenzy in the world of Boxing. After Deontay Wilder lost his WBC title to Tyson Fury, both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte moved above him in the rankings. Meanwhile, ‘The Gypsy King‘ bagged the top position.
Recently, they rolled out a new update in the rankings. Even though the changes did not involve the above-mentioned names, a plethora of fans is still very unhappy with the order of names in the top-4 of the list.

Nevertheless, the new addition to the list, too, tends to be a hot topic amongst boxing fans. Here are the new changes that The Ring Magazine has made to its Top-10 list.
Kubrat Pulev makes the Top-10 mark ahead of bout with Anthony Joshua
The Bulgarian Heavyweight professional made his way to no. 10 on the list, displacing the number 9th boxer, Adam Kownacki. In Adam’s stead, the earlier no. 10, Oscar Rivas moved up a spot.
Pulev’s entrance into the top-10 comes at a crucial juncture in his career. The 39-year-old is next in line to face British boxing sensation Anthony ‘AJ‘ Joshua for the IBF belt.

Pulev has an impeccable record. His only loss out of his 29 fights came at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. He last fought Rydell Booker in November 2019, cementing his place as the top mandatory contender after beating Booker. His record stands at an impressive 28-1-0, and he is on an 8-fight win streak.
Apparently, the promoters are eyeing “early December” to stage the fight. It will most probably take place behind closed doors without fans, although AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn would love to get fans into the mix.
The most probable dates for the contest will be December 5 or December 12.
