Recently, during an interview, Joshua explained the difference between him and the WWE and Hollywood superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

What is the difference between Anthony Joshua and Dwayne Johnson?

Ahead of his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua sat down for an interview with JD Sports. During the interview, Joshua was asked whether he feels his life was under a microscope at all times. The British boxer responded by paralleling his life with ‘The Rock‘.

He said, “I can only imagine what it’s like being The Rock or someone, you know what I mean.” Furthermore, he claimed that there is a huge difference between the boxer and the WWE star. He said, “There is a big difference. So you bring the Rock to Loughborough University. What do you think is gonna happen?”

The boxer was hinting at the huge difference in popularity between The Rock and himself. The Rock is a global celebrity who has been in the limelight for 2 decades. This makes his reach and popularity exponentially larger than that of Joshua.

Additionally, the former heavyweight champion answered the same question by stating that he wouldn’t change things for the time being to accommodate everyone if he can’t be true to himself. He said, “For me personally, it’s where I feel comfortable and where I can be myself.”
