Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn rank among the most ideal fighter-promoter duos. Over the course of time, their relationship has only strengthened and both of them have come a long way. Last month, when Joshua lost his fight to Oleksandr Usyk at the biggest of stages, Hearn took a stand for him and he even engaged in a slight verbal spat with a few fans in the arena.

This shows how the Matchroom chairman protects his fighters in their darkest phases. However, Joshua recently gave a staggering take on Eddie Hearn.

Speaking to iFL TV, he said, “Eddie speaks for me as well, but he’s not in my camp. So sometimes when he says things, I’m like he doesn’t have the full 101 on certain things I’m going through. He says it from his point of view. But his point of view is good, but it’s not the everyday things that I’m living and going through.”

After claiming gold in the 2012 London Olympics, Joshua stepped into the professional boxing world in 2013. He attracted attention from his compatriots, and Matchroom saw an upcoming boxing star in him. As a result, Joshua signed an 8-year deal with Matchroom Boxing and never looked back.

Also, Joshua played a pivotal part in the overall growth of Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn as a promoter.

Hearn, on the other side, always looked to roll out all of Joshua’s fights in the most enigmatic manner. Together, the duo reached new heights, thus setting an example for other fighters and promoters.

Is Eddie Hearn still promoting Anthony Joshua?

‘AJ’s comments may lead to questions about whether Hearn is still promoting him. Ahead of his last fight with Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua inked a lifelong deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

Taking it to his Instagram, Joshua wrote, “From first to the last signature. ”

“It’s a legacy, @matchroomboxing.”

Although Joshua’s comments in the above interview were a bit astonishing, it seems that he’s still on great terms with his promoter, Hearn.

Both of them have so much more to accomplish ahead. And fans would like to see the pair maintaining their sublime bond till the end of the road.
