In an interview, he said, “I now have my date with history set to become a three-time unified heavyweight champion of the world. What an opportunity… A happy fighter is a dangerous fighter and I am the happiest and most motivated I’ve been.”
Notably, Joshua has done it before. In 2017, the champ has lost his titles to Mexican heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr in a big upset.

However, this success was short-lived by Ruiz Jr, as a few months later Joshua regained his titles with a knockout win. This motivates the latter to pursue the dream of re-writing history.

Usyk is already on the lead. He had inflicted much damage on Joshua during their first fight, which forced Joshua to make a few big changes in his boxing career. After the loss, Joshua took some bold decisions. He parted from the team that was working along with him for years.
