Anthony Joshua, the unified world heavyweight champion, returns to action against a looming Kubrat Pulev on December 12 in a 12-round main-event clash.
Things have already turned intense with their recent face-off. Both the pugilists appear confident about outpointing the other. However, certain aspects might determine the outcome.

Joshua’s striking abilities have been constantly ridiculed since his loss against Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019. Although he avenged the loss in the rematch, several people have been doubtful regarding his in-ring dominance.
That said, many fans have picked Pulev to win the fight against him and it also makes sense. Meanwhile, Joshua’s recent training regime might be another reason for his fans to worry about.
Reporter Michael Benson claims, ‘AJ’ has been sparring in the fight week ahead of his bout against Kubrat Pulev. He is also reported to have undergone a few rounds on Thursday night.
Generally, fighters avoid heavy sparring sessions on fight week. It can threaten their physique and condition before the fight. However, Anthony Joshua is ready to take the risk and it might be his additional armor.
Despite fans worrying about it, Joshua might have foreseen some advantages before pulling off the stunt. But if he suffers an injury at this stage, it will clearly impact his performance against ‘The Cobra’. If something like that has happened already, Joshua might not be 100% fit before the fight.

Two of the heaviest orthodox punchers, Pulev and Joshua will seemingly light up fireworks when they collide against each other.
Their professional resumes also look similar, with Joshua standing at 23-1 and Pulev at 28-1. Although ‘AJ’ is a technical knockout artist, Pulev can also end a fight with one shot.
