Unified champion Anthony Joshua seems confident ahead of the Kubrat Pulev fight. The two heavyweights will enter the ring as the main event of a stacked card. Furthermore, this card has a lot riding on it and both fighters will look to make a statement.
However, Joshua isn’t promising anything before the fight kicks off.

The super-star boxer spoke to iFL TV on arriving at the arena and gave his take on the fight. He said, “Well it’s been tough but there’s nothing like the real thing. Looking forward to competing. Hundreds of rounds of sparring which is the closest thing to a fight and I’m happy with what we’ve done so far.”

Thus suggesting that he is confident about how his preparations have gone ahead of the fight.
‘AJ’ also said, “It’s a good fight, definitely. I was ready to fight him two years ago, took the challenge two years ago, I still stand by it today and I’m looking forward to taking him on.”
Furthermore, about his expectations from the fight, he said, “You know what, I ain’t putting pressure on myself bruv, all I’m doing is going in there, making it a good performance, and then that will lead to destruction, that will lead to the win.”

Will Anthony Joshua take the safer route against Kubrat Pulev?
Joshua is capable of taking the fight deep and out-boxing his opponent. We say that against Andy Ruiz Jr. in the rematch where he completely outclassed the Mexican but strayed away from getting into exchanges. So would it be wise for Joshua to take that route?

In reality, ‘AJ’ needs a knockout and many feel like he knows he needs a knockout. He is coming off two subdued performances, and if he has to make a statement, he has to get the knockout. So realistically, it would be wise for him to go for the knockout. However, with Pulev possessing the power that he does, it is difficult to see this actually happening.
