Former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will face Oleksandr Usyk for their highly anticipated rematch. Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter and Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn gave his prediction on the outcome of the fight.

Hearn was on a live stream with his followers and boxing fans. In conversation, one of the viewers asked him about the outcome of the Joshua vs Usyk showdown. The viewer asked, “Which round does AJ KO Usyk?”

In response, Hearn gave his prediction on the potential outcome of the fight. He said, “I’m telling you now. This is my prediction. AJ KOs Usyk inside six rounds. There you go.”

Moreover, in the same live stream, he also mentioned that he is certain that a Joshua vs Tyson Fury bout will take place. Hearn also added that he hopes to see the same go down in December.

The first Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk showdown

Anthony Joshua was initially scheduled to fight Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on August 14, 2o21. However, the fight did not materialize as Fury had to face Deontay Wilder for their 3rd rematch.

On May 22, the WBO issued an instruction to Joshua, stating that he will have to fight mandatory challenger Usyk. The showdown between Joshua and Usyk took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on September 25, 2021.

Joshua showcased a stellar performance during the night of the fight. However, Usyk was technically superior. In fact, he outboxed Joshua in most of the rounds.

Usyk was declared the winner by decision. Moreover, this was the second loss in Joshua’s professional career. Joshua conceded his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO to Usyk after losing.
