The iconic ‘Bronze Bomber’ of the heavyweight division, Deontay Wilder, recently marked his return after a yearlong hiatus, with a powerful comeback performance. Fans were especially delighted to see the sensational first-round KO. And fans were even quick to point out that he was one of the hardest hitters in the heavyweight division. On the other hand, former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, opened up about his thoughts about the knockout.

Wilder faced Robert Helenius at the Barclays Center in New York City on October 15, 2022. This was his first fight after his previous loss against Tyson Fury in 2021. He went on to knock Helenius out barely minutes into the first round. Meanwhile, Joshua was in an interview with Intu Boxing. In conversation, the interviewer asked him if Wilder was on his list of potential opponents. Joshua answered by saying, “He’s on there, that’s for sure.”

The interviewer further asked him if he would accept Wilder as his first opponent in the coming year. In response, Joshua did not hesitate while saying, “Whatever. I’m easy. I’m on whatever.”

Moreover, when asked about his thoughts on Wilder’s performance against Helenius, he responded saying, “Good. Not too bad. He’s back. He’s good, he’s done well. You know, he’s done what he’s supposed to do.”
