The last few years have been pretty tough on Anthony Joshua. Beginning with the 2019 defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr., he suffered back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk. Hence, it was critical for him to make a robust comeback to stake a claim in big games. Under a new trainer, a finely tuned plan saw him fight three matches last year. He won all three, with the last two against the Scandinavians, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin, ending in early stoppages.

Francis Ngannou, on the other hand, bid goodbye to the long-time UFC franchise last year. In 2021, he became the UFC’s heavyweight champion and defended it successfully the following year. Announcing his interest in following up on a new career in boxing, ‘The Predator’ landed his dream debut against Tyson Fury on October 28. Stunning the entire world, the Cameroonian-French fighter knocked down the boxing heavyweight champion in round 3. The latter literally scraped through the match by a split decision.
